The biggest monobrand kart racing series, the Rotax MAX Challenge, joined the biggest auto monobrand racing series, the Porsche Sports Cup, in Hockenheim from May 25-27, 2024.

BRP-Rotax is thrilled to announce that CIK-FIA Approval has been confirmed for the Rotax E20 electric powertrain. This makes the new generation power unit the first ever E-Kart to be awarded this level of certification in karting. Adding to this ground-breaking news, the Rotax E20 championship at the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy becomes the first CIK-FIA Approved International Series for Electrically Powered Karts worldwide in 2024.

The second edition of the Swedish Championship for the Rotax E20 E-Kart will take place at the new Gellerasen Arena karting track at Karlskoga, incorporated into Sweden’s oldest motor racing circuit, on August 15-17. Two Rotax E20 classes will be clsoely contested at the historical ‘Kanonloppet’ (Canon Race), which was first run almost 75 years ago, together with the Porsche Carrera Cup Scandinavia and an extensive motorsport program with an estimated 10,000 spectators attending. There are RMC Grand Finals 2024 tickets, trophies, prizemoney plus a Porsche watch to be won!

The 2023 season of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy is history. Last weekend, the decisions within the top-class racing series were made in Brandon, Great Britain. The championship celebrated its racing premiere on the Paul Fletcher International Circuit and thus presented challenges to a total of almost 160 drivers from all over the world. In exciting races in sometimes very difficult conditions, the new title holders in Europe's highest Rotax championship were finally crowned after the seventh and eighth rounds.

The new karting track at Gelleråsen Arena has now been inaugurated, where the final of the Prince Carl Philips Racing Pokal will be decided on October 7-8. The official circuit opening took place last Saturday in the middle of the classic Kanonloppet (”the cannon race”).

Motorsport racer Luca Koester had an exciting season in 2022: The 25-year-old driver from Germany fearlessly took on international circuits, leaving a trail of success in his wake. After clinching the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy, Luca secured his ticket to the RMC Grand Finals in Portimão, Portugal. Ikast, Denmark is set to witness a new era of motorsport in August, when the Rotax E20 E-Kart Championship is taking place. From August 11-13, 2023 the Danish E-Kart Championship will electrify the track at Ikast with fierce competitions in the Rotax E20 Senior, E20 Senior Master, and E20 Junior categories.

The championship duels of the Rotax MAX Challenge Euro Trophy have begun. Last weekend in Genk, Belgium, the starting signal was given for the 2023 season of the international racing series of the Austrian engine manufacturer. 201 pilots from all over the world made their way to the challenging race track in Belgium and, after three action-packed days, crowned the first winners of the year.
